Kindergarten Program

The kindergarten program is a nine-week program beginning September 15. Eligible players are currently attending kindergarten and reside within West Hempstead or attend West Hempstead schools. Games are played on Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Practices are once a week on a day set up by the coach. This is an instructional division; no prior experience is necessary. The focus is on learning the game and having fun. Games are small sided, 3 v 3 with no goalie, and everyone gets equal playing time.

1st Through 6th Grade

This is a nine-week program beginning September 8. Eligible players reside within West Hempstead or attend West Hempstead schools. Games are played on Saturdays and Sundays. Practices are once a week on a day set up by the coach. This is an instructional division; no prior experience is necessary. Everyone gets equal playing time.

Intramural Program Fees

The intramural program fee is $70 for new players. Uniform, shin guards and a ball are required. The uniform is an additional $32. The same uniform is worn each year. We recommend you purchase a size large enough to last your child a few years. Also, a sweatshirt should be able to fit under the jersey in cooler weather. Shin guards, cleats and a ball may be purchased at any sporting goods store or department store.

Little Chiefs (4-year-old Program)

The Little Chiefs program is a six-week program beginning late September. Eligible players are born between 12/01/08 and 12/01/09 and reside within West Hempstead. Sessions take place on Saturdays between 2 and 3 p.m. This is an instructional division; the focus is on learning basic skills and having fun.

The fee is $50 and includes a uniform T-shirt and size 3 ball ($40 if you played in the fall season and already have a uniform T-shirt and ball). Shin guards are required and can be purchased at any sporting goods store or department store.

DV Academy Soccer Training

The WHCSC is once again providing additional professional soccer training to players in the Bows, Indians, Bow Braves and Braves divisions. DV Academy training begins Mondays, starting in September at the Eagle Avenue Small field.

Sessions are constructed so that skills practiced at the beginning lead into those that follow.  Therefore, you need to arrive five minutes before your scheduled session, prepared to play with a properly inflated ball, shin guards, cleats, exercise attire, and a drink.  If you intend to leave your child at the field unattended, it is your responsibility to see that you, or someone you designate, are at the field five minutes before the close of the session to pick up your child.

This professional training is provided with no additional charge.  Please take advantage of all DV Academy has to offer and stick with it.  The results will be evident on the field.  If you wish to attend, please fill out this slip and bring it with you on the first day of training.
